Flashback # 3

Witnesses for the Almighty

The Adventist School in Lassin is made up of of our staff of teachers from the church and students of various religions. These include Roman Catholic, Muslim, Baptist. We teach them daily from the word of God, tell them Bible stories accompanied with felt visuals.
Most of them especially the Roman Catholics worship idols. There is this one student whom the other students were making fun of because her family's home is filled with idols and people come to worship these idols. We have been teaching the students about worshiping God alone.

The students are excited to learn about God and their enthusiasm in worshiping daily is remarkable. We also encourage and teach them to go and witness the things that they learn to their family members and friends.

The Muslim children learn about Jesus and they love Him. They have begun to sing about Jesus as we taught them to do. They request often to see the Jesus film. We gave them a few Bibles and Steps to Christ.

One of the Muslim students said that the one that I gave the Bible to her name is Umme, just before they ate their meal at supper time, she read the Lord's prayer from the Bible and then they ate. Praise the Lord.

When the students visit the house we show films from the New Beginning series. So daily we witness to these children that the Lord has given in different ways. We also reach out to parents at teachers meetings, when we visit the homes of the student's parents as well.

When a child gets sick we visit the parents and instruct them how to care for the problem with God's remedies in nature. There was this one boy who had swollen feet from jiggers, that enter into the feet when barefooted. It eats up the flesh and infects the area. When they enter you can't see it but when it has eaten flesh it grows. So he got many of these jiggers into his feet. He even had problems walking to go to school.

We visited his mom and one of the local teachers translated to her in her native language. The local teacher explained to her that God has given us little Pickings to take care of and we are responsible for them. She explained the remedy we gave her; soak Aloe Vera in warm water and let him soak his feet twice a day in the warm Aloe Vera water for 15 minutes each soak. We gave her some charcoal for him to drink. In a matter of a week the student was all better. The swelling went down the jiggers died, and he looked brighter, and walked faster to school daily. He verbalized that he felt better.

However, as we provide the parents with these remedies and they see the results we present to them Jesus Christ. PLEASE KEEP THE PARENTS, STAFF, STUDENTS of the school in your prayers so that people may come out of sin and have relationship with God.
Praise Him with all our hearts. Amen.

Flashback #2

Witness to your neighbors

Working for the Lord is wonderful. We have never been happier. As we take on our assigned task in God's vineyard there is much work to be done. This task increases when you have children, the little flock that God has given to train them in His fear. A a result we had to get a house helper. Divine helped us find a young high school student. She assumed responsibility right away to get the house chores done. We soon found out that she was honest, and faithful in her work.

We took this opportunity to witness to her. I gave her a Steps to Christ, and a bible. By the the way she is staunch Roman Catholic. As she came to our house daily we showed her much kindness. She also viewed videos on the laptop of the the translated New Beginning series.

So as time went by we decided to read her through the Steps to Christ . Daily we studied one chapter and the Spirit begun His work in her. She asked- “ Can I go to God directly to confess my sins?”. We showed her the Bible verse in first John:
1Jn 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
1Jn 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
1Jn 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
1Jn 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
1Jn 2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
1Jn 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

I explained that we need not go to the priest but go to God through Jesus Christ our advocate. Many
other questions she has asked and we were able teach to her what the word of God says even about the
sabbath. So now she has been taught about some of God's present day truth.

So we hope by God's grace that she will accept God's truth. I also gave her a Steps to Christ for her mom. When I asked her if her mom had started reading it she said, “yes” and the her mom was more than half way though. Praise the Lord.

Please pray that the Lord will draw the whole family to Him.

Praise the Lord.

Also We have been inviting some of our other neighbors to come watch the New Beginnings in Pidgin and we looking forward to continue this on a wider scale when we return!
