Project Needs

Hello everyone, here is a list of our project needs for the current school year.

1. Prayer (pray for the success of our different outreach ventures we have planned for this year. helping the elderly with their chores e.g fetching water, fire wood and cleaning out their yards. sharing through film, translated New Beginnings and other media files.)
2. Installing a pump at the school well (Not yet priced, will updated within the next month how much we need)
3. Building our next classroom block. the foundation has been laid and building will start once the rainy season hits the road and the dry season settles around Nov or Dec (project not yet priced)

The repairs to the existiing classes have been done, the roof was tied down securely and the well housing has been plastered. Thanks to all who made this possible.

Also, with my crazy outreach goals, it wouldn't hurt to have a bible worker or two come and join us. This world is literally crumbling before our eyes and yet the LORD will not come until his servants have been sealed and have finished his work!

As it is written, "Joh 4:34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. 35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. 36 And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together. 37 And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth. Finishing God's work

As we are getting ready and packing it is weighing more on our minds that a great work is needed in the western world as much as in unreached areas of the world. As Paul says after all is said and done, there is no way we can boast and say any accomplishments have been from us.

I had two Philip experiences today (sep 21 2011). The first as I entered the subway. (minus the disappearing act). There was an elderly man in front of me and the holy ghost said "ask him if he is interested in religious literature". i kinda hesitated but the voice came again as we were going down the stairs and I obeyed. The end result the man walked away with a copy of the great controversy. But I am more elated with the second experience. Because it involves a young man, and the bible tells us that young man that are interested in the things of God are like a mighty weapon in a skilled man's hand. God is ready and willing to use young men to finish his work.

Normally I do not sit at the very back of the bus, but I found myself at the very back, and Jamal came and sat to my left with a sit in between us. Again the Spirit said you got to talk to him. And I was like how can I seeing he won't be able to hear me (at the time he was listening to some music). So said I, when the opportunity arise I will talk to him. After a while, he took off his music and I looked over and the Spirit said you can talk to him now.
This time I was thinking he don't look like he would be interested in spiritual things. I must say, this young man was well dressed(straight out of GQ). But God is wiser than us and he kept prodding me to speak to the young man.

And would you know, when I finally spoke to him, contrary to what I was thinking. He was interested in spiritual things and he had some questions which can be answered in the book of choice that I was carrying with me, The Great Controversy. The good thing about God, is when he send his blessing it should spread to family friends and assosciates. And through speaking to Jamal certain questions about the work that the LORD has for us in Cameroon were answered. We need not be afraid to be witnesses for God, for not only will he give us words but the words will not return void but will produce fruit

We have finally received our Visas after a lot of back and forth with the Visa office and now we need only one more thing and I am sure the LORD will give it to us. He will surely supply all our sustenance and the funds we need to fly out.

Final Flashback

As we are setting our eyes to head back to Lassin, The precious memories we had in  our first foray are flooding back. The prayer to have all the funds we need to head out as well as all the resources we need. The first time we did not have the money until two weeks before we travelled and that really tried our Faith. I believe this time we will have to move up to the wire.

Our prayer is that our faith will not fail. The difference with this trip is that two of the most precious souls we have met will not be there to meet us.Steve and Carol Rose. In the short time we were with them I was trying not to attach too much to them, but their love and nurturing was irresistible, miss you tons guys. You have been endeared in our hearts. sometimes as I walked down the corridor, after you left, I would feel as if Steve was going before me and giving me a tour of the house. Precious moments.

We are confident in the work God has set for us, because of all the times satan tried to take us out. twice on the way to Lassin. We almost never reached Lassin with two major shake-ups to the vehicle we were in. Only god's mercy and grace saved us.We lost steering control and both front wheels were turned towards each other and we could easily have gone off the cliff. The Road to Lassin is an upward climb through a series of mountains, with a lot of twists and turns, ups and downs. Kind of reminds me of the Christians pathway. The alternative route which goes on the side of the moutain up to Kumbo does not have a steep climb, but it is full of potholes and is a very rough ride.

The people in Lassin are very welcoming. We got welcomes for a whole month from our arrival. But the warmest came from our predecessors and fellow labourers, Steve and Carol. Then began a crush course to get us on speed with the project. The local staff were also welcoming and Juliana was a special one, she sang us her welcome.

Steve left us a lot of resources to reach out to people and now it will be enhanced with a projector, 2 actually that David gates approved for our project. This makes our game plan so much easier. My prayer is that it will be  a success not just in Lassin but in surrounding villages as well. Also I have been working on reaching out to muslims because we have a significant number of them around us.

I mentioned Juliana, because she has not yet accepted the faith, but the LORD is working on her. Her two children Lawrence and Onoria caught the flu bug and we gave her some natural remedy tips which worked faster than you can say abracadabra. And it saved her a bunch because she was planning on taking them to the health centre. Also around the same time, her hand got swollen from an unknown cause, and the instant icepacks that the LORD impressed us to carry came in handy. also that same weekend she got to keep her first sabbath at her home. The story with her is that every friday after school she goes to her home village to work on her farms(Mbignon). Our prayer is that she will finally accept the truth

More stories will come as the LORD blesses the work and gives us his grace to finish the work and herald the coming  of our LORD and Saviour Jesus The Christ.
